How to Recommend Works
The 2006 IHG Awards will be for works from calendar year 2005. The IHG
Judges appreciate and encourage you to recommend works for nomination.
Please read the Award Rules. Please provide the
title of the work, date of publication, and publisher(s). If applicable, provide the name of
the anthology or periodical in which the work was first published as well
as word count.
You may recommend in all categories or just certain categories. More than
one
recommendation may be made for each category. The total numbers of
recommendations are
not important, this
is NOT a popular vote. Getting your friends, fans, and family to all
recommend your work
won't help your chances of nomination.
The Judges and Administrator appreciate publishers, authors, artists,
etc.
sending them copies of works to be considered. As they are all
reviewers/critics,
they may already be on your standard list. If not, use this link -- *Contact Judges*
-- for list of the judges and their contact info. You may also
request their names
and addresses via e-mail from
info@horroraward.org
Nominations are not made for the Living Legend Award.
Honorees
are named by the judges. Public recommendations may, however, be made.
To be considered for the Living Legend Award, individuals must have
made a meritorious and notable contribution and/or has substantially
influenced the field of Horror/Dark Fantasy.
Special Awards are given at the discretion of the judges and
for reasons they cite. Again, nominations are never made for this
honor,
although the public may make suggestions.
Questions pertaining to eligibility and interpretations of the guidelines will be decided by the Awards Committee. Their ruling is final.
